Myspace Internet Marketing - By Mitch Sanders

Last week, I was on page six for the keyword phrase "internet marketing"... right under heather vale... this week 1# on page 1#...

So, following basic seo best practices of "reverse engineering" your competitor who is doing well, I anaylized the guy who was 1# for "Internet Marketing"

Here is how he ranked 1#

1# He had the keyword "Internet Marketing" in his "name" tag.
2# His page said the phrase "Internet marketing" a lot of times...
3# he used the word "marketing" and "internet" seperately several times
4# he had plenty of "friends" and his profile was fairly old...

So here's the formula

Keyword should be used all over the page, especially in the "name" tag...
Your profile needs time to mature/get more friends (wether its the "friends" that make the difference, or the time that takes to get them is unknown to me)

And you should break up your keyword phrase into two seperate words...

Such as "I have a MARKETING" degree... and "I love the INTERNET" (sneaking in the words "Internet Marketing")

The most important thing to remember is that myspace has no "keyword stuffiing" filter that hurts you...  the more you use the word, the better!
